Hi,

I have ordered the bearings for a Bosch wfo2467 has any one out had to change them before if you have please help

I realise that this is an old post, but here are instructions for anyone out there that needs them:

BOSCH Washing Machine Classixx 1200 Express WFO2467GB/15

How to replace the bearings

Bosch part no.: BSH172686
Bearing 1: 6205Z
Bearing 2: 6306Z
seal: 35 X 72 X 10/12

1. disconnect the water supply, the waste pipe and the electric plug
2. take off top panel – 2 no. Torx screws at back, then slide back and lift off
3. take out washing powder drawer – press towards the back to release the clip
4. take off the control panel – 3 no. Torx screws on LHS at washing powder drawer, plus another smaller Torx screw round the side at the RHS
5. open the small door that accesses the drain tube and water pump, and remove it
6. take off the bottom kickplate – 1 no. Torx screw and slide to the right
7. take off the front panel:
a. take off the wire clip around the door seal and tuck the seal into the drum
b. remove the 4 no. Torx screw at the bottom, and let the front panel down
c. disconnect the electric connection on the door catch
8. remove the metal cross-member – 4 no. Torx screws
9. remove the loosen the washing powder drawer housing – loosen the clips around the two upper hoses and the large lower hose and disconnect them
10. remove the HEAVY concrete damper counterweights:
a. upper – 2 no. 13mm nuts
b. concentric – remove steel bad by loosening 8mm bolt and removing 3 no. Torx screws
11. disconnect the heater wires - +ve (grey), -ve (grey), Earth (green/yellow) and thermostat (brown)
12. remove the heater element – loosen the 10m nut and gently tap inwards to release the pressure on the seal, then simply pull out of the drum
13. disconnect the rubber hose at the bottom of the drum/sump
14. cut the 2 no. tie-wraps that attach bunches or wires to the drum
15. tip the whole machine forward 45˚, resting it on something soft, e.g. old sheet
a. remove the drive belt from the motor and the pulley wheel on the back of the drum
b. remove the motor from the drum – 2 no. 10mm bolts and gently pull off – no need to disconnect wires if you set it gently on to the ground
c. take plastic chamber off drum – simple plastic clip
d. set the machine back upright
16. remove 13mm bolts from each of the damper legs towards the bottom of the machine in
17. now the heavy bit – lift the drum out of the machine through the front, off the two springs at the top, taking care not to damage any wiring
18. remove the door seal from the drum – spring clip
19. remove the pulley wheel from the back of the drum – 13mm – you may need to tap the spindle to loosen it from the bearings
20. split the drum into the two halves – 9 no. Torx screws – break off the multitude of plastic clips
21. take off the seal and drive out the small rear bearing and the large front bearing with a hammer and drift – tap around the edges, driving the rear one out the back and the front one out the front – careful not to damage the drum or break off any of the remaining plastic clips
22. clean out the bearing housing
23. VERY CAREFULLY AND SLOWLY drive the new bearings into the drum – only tap around the very outside edge, or you will irreparably damage the new bearings – move around the edge
24. pop in the new seal
25. rebuilding the machine is pretty much the reverse process – ensure the spindle is clean, use a narrow thread of silicone sealant on the drum seal when re-assembling.
:D
