Washing machine (indesit) using more water than before

I had my Indesit washing machine repaired (had the bearings replaced) and found out it uses much more water now than before. Before it used about 35 liters for a full cycle, now about 60.

Of course the repairman says it has nothing to do with the work they did. Have you any idea what causes this problem and how it can be solved?

Use it 50% less thus making a saving.
