Washing Machine installation

Can someone tell me if washine machines still come with a bracket securing the drum to the case for transporting. The bracket was then removed prior to fitting so that the drum then sat on the bearings / springs.
I ask this as my son has had a new machine fitted by Currys and on it's first was is making a loud clunking noise. I suggested that it may be due to the non remova; of said bracket.
Do new machines still come with them?

Sometimes a bracket sometimes bolts that should be removed prior to install. Though i have never fired one up without reading MI so I cant say what noise it might make. Or if it would work at all.

Is it level and not overloaded?

It is a lad of mine with one of his many problems. I will ask him about the overload, thanks for the pointer.

Definately worth reading the MI's to see if the bolts need taking out too

If Currys installed the machine, you should get them back - after checking that the machine has not been overloaded.

And yes they do still come with the bracket bolted to the back.
