Washing machine into soak away

Are washing machines allowed to be emptied into a soak away, I'm assuming its definitely not...but was hoping to do it as a temporary measure prior to an extension to the drains being completed.

When my drains were being done I got a big plastic barrel from work and used that for the machine to drain into had to empty it twice per wash.

I just opened the foul man hole cover right at the end of the garden and put the water down there.
