Washing Machine Not Behaving

My washing machine is switching on but when it starts to take in the water at the start of the programme it is tripping the circuit breaker in the cupboard.The socket that it is plugged into is not faulty.We have tried it in various other sockets via an extension lead to as a process of elimination but it is still doing it.Can anyone help??

You have a short circuit or leak to earth on your washing machine. Any number of individual components in your machine can cause it. Favourites are motor,heater,door interlock switch. A white goods tech would isolate the fault by a process of elimination and then replacement of the faulty component
