Well I am having trouble with my washing machine after my wife washed some old coveralls. It wont spin very fast on the spin cycle, there is a burning smell on large loads and not all the water will come out, some, but nit all. On small loads it does ok. I thought the belt may have been stretched out, so I replaced it, still the same thing. I looked in the pump and it seems fine. I didn't see a filter or a screen on it. Its a kennmore Horizon 2000. Any ideas. Thanks.

I think it maybe the pump because if you run it through the spin cycle a few times it will get all the water out. Does anyone else agree? Its a frigiaire not a kennmore, sorry.
Thanks,
Randy

pump blocked filter blocked or part blocked pipe!!!

your machine will work on a time interval or sensor!!!

its trying to spin full of water hence the the problems

dont know any thing about american uprights though  !!!

When you washed the coveralls was that all that was wash, was there anything left in the pockets etc, if so this may have fould its way to the discharge pump and either blocked or jammed it giving the symptoms, don't forget to disconnect the machine from the mains if you are going to adventure inside...Al.
