Hi

Having problems with my washing machine and have tried everything I know. It has been stopping mid-cycle and I got an error code 23 which indicates a drain problem. Had this many times with this machine and did all the usual, cleaned the filter - couple of coins bits of plastic etc, checked the impeller all ok there, no issues with drain pipework either.

In fact no problems with draining it at all. Able to run drain program and it pumps and drains fine. However still getting error 23.

Tried running other programs and even turned off the water supply to see if it could pick up that error, but no just 23.

Is it likely to the PCB in which case I suspect it's terminal... this machines had numerous fixes over the years so probably not worth messing with.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Kind regards

Andrew

Thanks, links back to my own thread from last year!

As you can see I've been in and out of this machine and it may not be worth it anymore, I'll have a look at the brushes again tonight but I would be disappointing if they have gone after only 18 months given the original ones were on for a good few years. The machine was turning last night but not when I tried a spin cycle, so we'll see.

Brush longevity varies with quality, you usually get what you pay for. Obviously I don't know if this is the case here. If the brushes are good then as you suspect it is probably not a viable option to have it repaired. Zanussi p.c.b.'s need to be installed by there own engineers so probably not economically worth doing.

Turns out it was the brushes again, fitted a new set and off and running again. I think I will just have to accept them as a consumable. I appreciate that you get what you pay for but given the age of the machine I think cheap and cheerful will keep it going.

Thanks once again
