I recently had a blockage which was cleared under my insurance. On putting back the slabs i notice the lid (in two bits)
doesnt seen to fit the pipe. Do i need to try & get a new one or just leave it alone. Also what do I ask for

It's a channel cover of sorts, I wouldn't worry about it. Its broken crossways, so wont fall into the pipe. I doubt you'll get a new one that'll fit any better, what actually goes over this?

Is it a small brick pit, with the slab on the top? Bit concerned about soil and rubbish getting into the drain.

No the slab sits ontop of the surrounding chuckies. Was thinking of putting membrane over it before replacing
