waste pipe through roof needs replacing

We are trying to refurb our bathroom the waist pipe is internal and goes out through ceiling. It needs replacing as the connection for toilet is too high... The toilet used to be on a platform.
Is it easy to replace? how do we remove part of pipe out of roof and put new one in? the drain centre said we can cut original metal waste pipe use an attachment a re place pipe through ceiling, but does this mean that we need to take slates off roof?

you sound like your about to make a small job massive.

why not cut the pipe within the house and join a longer lenth onto it.

if the pipe through your roof aint leaking leave it wall alone
