Personally I detest the flexible waste pipes - they can sag all too easily and they quite often have a shortened lifespan.
If I were you I'd measure the height between the bath waste tail and the waste pipe that you need to make onto, then visit your local plumbers' merchant and select a trap that does what you want.
Bear in mind that if the bottom surface of the bath is below the bottom of the waste pipe, then the bath won't empty properly, so consider carefully before you install the bath an inch lower.

Nah-personally I like them-they serve a good purpose in an awkward situation and I've never seen one sag or fail.
