Anglian water reckon I have used £400 of water in one year.

1 bed flat, lived in on average 8-10 days a month.

Seem excessive to you?

Yeah metered.

Moved out in April sent them a meter reading, now they say the owner has supplied them with a much higher read over 3 months after I moved out. Owner says no water has been used since I moved out (I suppose they would wouldn't they) So I don't know where I stand, I can't read the meter myself now as I am over 200 miles away, so what happens now I don't know. I even asked Anglian water to come a read the meter themselves, but they refused.

Too late now but you should take a photo of the meter reading when you go into a property and again when you leave.

I had a bill for £1500 from eon for my unit when I had only been in there 6 weeks. A photo and a manager out to site got that sorted. But it took 6 months

So is it on record that you sent them the meter reading? Did the agent check you out and take readings too? Or maybe not relevant. You gotta confirm readings with the owner/agent checking you out when you leave!

We'll see how it goes.... sigh!! I don't really know where the onous lies, but providing a reading over 3 months after I've moved out is suspect to say the least.

if your reading falls within your usage pattern then thats the one they should use
