Water connection for washer dryerr

Can I connect my washer dryer to the HOT water supply instead of the cold, as it seems such a waste of electricity when there is always a tank full of hot water.

Short answer is NO.
It needs the cold water for the dryer to work and you'd be using hot water for cool washes and rinses.

Unplug your appliance before working on it.
