Water damaged ceiling

Hi there

We had a bath seal that was leaking down the wall and into the ceiling below. We have fixed the leak but the ceiling below is a bit of a mess and hoping theres a relatively simple fix. Its drywall and plaster at the sides.

Is it possible to scrape, refill and paint, or more complex.
