How do I not get, that that question has never been posted before, and never answered before..............
Someone mentioned that aquaducts don't have locks, the nearest locks either side of the aquaduct would then become the aquaducts locks.
So, when the boat is placed on the aquaduct, it will not spread the weight along all of the canal, the weight will go to the nearest locks only(between).
when a lock is opened, then the weight will be spread that bit further till the next set of locks, etc, etc

I know you did, read my post 4 or 5 up.......... 
Yes. The question is different. In answering 'our' original version how many people incorrectly gave an answer which was appropriate to the 'new' version above, (which was already plastered all over the internet), by saying wheel speed of the aircraft would simply be doubled.
