Hello, Do these ever need replacing? We have one on the feed to an electric shower (fitted many years ago), and the water hammer seems to be getting worse again when the shower is turned off. I wonder if they sometimes need to be replaced. Thanks in advance.

Will the piston seals inside ever wear out and let the gas out, yeah I guess it could.
