Hello,

I installed a new bath/shower mixer to replace my standard bath taps at the weekend.

It was ok at first but a little water was dripping from one of the gold nuts.

I've since tightened more and now the water is leaking worse.

I can't tighten the nut any more - what can I do?

Cheers

Simon

No explaination was needed, as you dont have gold nuts on the bottom

Use a jointing paste, but slacken the nuts holding the taps first as they could be out of square.

I've had to take the mixer off and put the crappy taps back on!

I looked inside and the black washer was disintegrated!

I'll get hold of some paste and a new washer tomorrow and try again!
