I have an old water main - still active -that the previous owner has joyfully hooked up a standard garden hose to and then buried it below concrete going up to the end of the garden and the greenhouse. Fine except the hose has developed a leak and its not possible to cut the offending part of the hose out as there isn't enough length.

I want to change the fitting on the water main and then plumb it using some fixed pipework to outside where I'll run it up to the greenhouse, replacing the hose with blue polypipe.

I need to replace the fitting on the end of the main first and foremost and it will need an isolation tap. What should I go for (size etc). Any advice gratefully received

Yours
