In image 1 & 2 you can see rain water penetrating into the wall which has been recently plastered. The plasterer sstated he has put double pva on to prevent water from coming through.

Image 3 is my house, the rain water penetrates through the outside render upstairs bedroom as can be seen in the images. The wall is single brick from the bay window.

How can I stop or prevent this from happening?

Only noticed the rain water coming in couple of days ago. Rather concerned. :(

aw don't worry a lil water does no harm. Doing anything to the inside is pointless. Main aim is to stop water getting in. Cheap and not quite rite job is paint the walls with good weather seal paint. Or for better peace of mind and long lasting is render. Hack back and start again. That would be my way forward

The rain is getting through via defective render, defective window frame/cill or the cill not projecting enough from the render externally

You wont stop this via coating internal plaster, and you need to sort it out before the moisture starts to rot the bay timber frame

You either need to remover the plaster to investigate, or investigate from the outside

looks like water goes there from the connection between window sill and render- mastic will do the trick, other wise check your gutter and flat roof above bay window (water can run between window frames)
you have to investigate from the outside as woody said
