Water Pressure Issue to Electric Shower

Chris, before i say what i'm about to say.... firstly i'd like to thank you for your help.

Secondly, whats the big deal if i am writing a huge long explanation and i copy and paste it to different forums?!! i didn't realise there was a rule/law against that? Besides, how am i supposed to write up the problem i am having for everyone to offer opinions in several different ways? Would you prefer i wrote it backwards or perhaps in a riddle? :p Aww bless you must be bored!
For the rest of you who have been very kind in helping me out and NOT BEING PETTY ABOUT WHO I'VE BEEN SPEAKING TO, ETC, a big thank you. If you were nearby i'd buy you all a drink :D

Just to finalise, i bought a pressure tester for £3.99 and tested the pipe i fitted up to the shower, around 1.5bar was showing so i guess it must be a faulty shower!

Thanks again..... now all i have to do is hope Triton agree

Stop behaving like a moron, and put yourself in the position of those who are offering, and providing, help to you for free. If they are not happy with the way that you've behaved, then have the good grace to try to understand their feelings, rather than attempt to belittle and demean with a sarcastic comment.

You're entitled to post your problem on as many forums as you like, but at least you could let us know you're doing that - that's just a common courtesy.

Several of us spent some valuable time thinking about your problem and advising you. Then we discover that you have another bunch of experts doing the same thing on another forum. Maybe you've posted on a third or fourth forum - who knows? So we feel a little abused.

Why should it matter? Maybe it shouldn't, but it touches on the human emotions and values that underpin our relationships with each other. Perhaps I'm just being oversensitive about it, but it doesn't feel right.

Hey Softus - Moron?? My my, quite the little keyboard ninja aren't we... get out much? i think probably not. Perhaps If chris would have written the mesage he has just written first i may have understood a little better instead of just firing off at me. If you detected the hint of sarcasm in my wording then its clear to see the audience i am dealing with if you coin the phrase of "sarcasm is the lowest form of wit". Understandy?

Chris - I work in IT as a specialist in my field and have done for 8 years now, i have never once had to explain my plans on a forum to anyone and believe you me - i am a member in many forums! If it offended you that i asked my question elsewhere i'm sincerely sorry. Didn't realise i was joining a fraternity when i clicked the "join now" button - after all this is a DIY forum thought everyone had better things to do than to spend "valuable time" to calculate the solution. Its not like we are married and its not like i've cheated on you! .... and s for experts - on a DIY forum?! Don't get me started.

Take care.

We probably do - I certainly do! Yet I and others find it strangely rewarding to spend time on this forum helping complete strangers with their mostly rather tedious problems.

You were banking on that human emotion when you decided to post your problem here (and on a few other forums, just to be sure!), so you recognise it too, even if you reveal a rather cynical persona now that you have your answer.

After returning at 9:45pm from a callout to customer, I can accurately say that you're the second least grateful person I've seen being advised on this forum. jdey didn't last very long here, and you won't either.

Not really, since you've written this in Gibberish.

Well why not? Please do tell us about your thoughts on DIY forum experts.

Bottom line - you're a dishonest person who's revealed his true colours within one short topic, viz:

Apparently you did realise it on Thursday, and have a very short memory.

Well spotted Softus! Interestingly he cut that bit out of the identical first post he made 4 minutes later on the Screwfix site. I wonder why that was? A subconscious sense of infidelity?

Leaving the argument aside, I've got this shower - fed from a pump and a tank in the loft as the water pressure aint too great at that height.

In two years (the period of the guarantee), I've had to call out Triton four times for a thermostat replacement - it manifests itself in no heat. Each time they've been very good but each time it's necessitated someone being around to get it repaired.

Now, in its 25th month, the blue led seems to have gone haywire so that the display was first unlit and is now in the alarming red (that accompanies low pressure warnings and the reminder to clean the head).

Perhaps a little off topic (don't shout at me, please) but a general indication of build quality that might back up your faulty shower suspicion ...

fathertobe - I've noticed that admin has asked you before not to hijack topics.

Please start a new one because, even if your symptoms were identical, which they're not, your problem could so easily be different. Therefore a new topic is warranted to prevent confusion.
