water proof shower area before tiling ?

The backerboards are as out of square as the ply was. The tiles will carry on to the right to cover the sink area which is green plasterboard and already plastered. So to avoid a lip where the shower area ends the tiler kept the hardiebacker flush with adjacent plasterboard.
thinking about it, the hardiebacker could've been packed out in the corner and packed out on the adjacent left wall next to the door frame thus squaring the walls. Doh! :(
I bought a homelux super seal plus kit, similar to sealux. Hopefully this and the mapeigum will keep us watertight
