Water Proofing Patio

Having house built, all the floors are pot and beam one area extends over down stairs bedroom ,this area is an open patio leading off from lounge. Can anyone advise best way to water proof the patio area prior to laying slate floor tiles?

Yes roof over the bedroom.

In which case it should really be designed as a roof. That concrete and screed system probably lends itself to asphalt, and your tiles can be stuck to that. Mind you don't slip though!
