Hi,
We had a new patio laid a couple of years ago. We had some concerns at the time (sandstone slabs laid on a ring bed of cement not a full bed), slabs too high v damp proof course and air bricks, slabs built right up to house walls.
We've started to get a lot of woodlice in the house and are wondering if it's related to the patio (damp/space under slabs etc) and now back to worrying about the impact of the patio on the house. We asked him to do something about the air bricks and his solution was to build little houses around them! There is also one area where the patio is built around a gas/water pipe which will probably collect rain as below the level of the patio.
Any thoughts on what to do with this patio greatly appreciated? Is it a disaster? Nightmare waiting to happen? Great job?
Basically would like to know if we should rip it up, drop it down and go from there.
Many thanks
