Hi

We’ve recently started hearing

running water noise in our utility room and it appears to be coming from the main waste pipe in the wall.

No signs of leakage anywhere but it’s driving us round the bend, anyone any ideas what this could be or how to identify where the problem is coming from?

Any help much appreciated.

A few more clues might help. Where does waste pipe come from and where is it going too. Have you got any leaking taps or over flowing cold water tanks or toilet cisterns that are running continually. Are you in a flat with neighbours above or is it your own property.

Hi there

We stay in a 4 bedroom detached house.

The waste pipe is in the wall at the same side, downstairs from our ensuite bathroom but there is no noise coming from the cistern in the ensuite.

We do have a WC on the other side of the house and the cistern is constantly running and there is a leak but not sure how this would be heard through a main waste pipe on the other side of the house.

Many thanks
