Water softener 3/8 drain pipe

Hi all

I have an old twintec which unfortunately has gone faulty and a new Harvey Twintec is pretty expensive.

I've been given a second hand monarch water softner, and one of the drain connections seems to be different.
I believe one of the drain pipes I have for the twintec is 3/8, but the monarch connector (picture below)

Can I please seek advice on how I can make the 3/8 pipe work with this connector?
