Selecting a Water Softener for 3 bathroom Family Home

I'm trying to pick a water softener to go in a newly re-modeled Kitchen: House is family home, normally 4-5 people, 3 bathrooms, but often 7 people, and sometimes 12 people when guests visiting)

Listed below with Pro's (+) cons (-) are the models I'm considering at the moment - I would value people’s thoughts, research, & experience

- Costly (Quoted £1296 incl install or £38.10 PCM rental, though the salesman got his VAT calculations wrong should have been £1416.00)

4. Monarch (Plumbsoft) Solo
+ 5 year parts guarantee, 2 year labour guarantee
+ cost: £649
- Service/standby regeneration cycle (NOT Duplex Parallel)
5. Monarch (Plumbsoft) Solo Ultra
+ 5 year parts guaranteee, 2 year labour guarantee
+ cost: £690

All of these are twin tank. All except the Kinteico are made By Haveys Factory in UK and are basically very similar models as far as I can tell. Where not listed as pro/con units take 2 x 4KG block salt, andf have a 1 year parts and labour guarantee.
