Hi folks,

My hot water supply always seems to be steaming hot (which doesn't sound too bad) but its like that even when the water heating (gas) hasn't been on all week.

I was wondering if the central heating being on might also be heating the water, but haven't had that on all weekend and the water is still steaming.

There is a switch in my airing cupboard which I assumed was the pump, but is it possible that its not and its heating the water somehow??!?!

Really confused so if someone could help would be much appreciated.

could do with more info, but i would assume that switch is for an electric immersion heater -which would explain why the water is hot

What other info do you need mate, let me know and i'll happily answer.

Will turn the switch off in the mean time and see what happens.

if no heating/hw been on.
then the switch can only be an immersion switch.

if it has a cable running to the top of the cylinder then its an immersion heater.
