water still trickles in to pan after flush?

A few years ago I replaced two toilets in my house. Both are fitted with push button flushes.

The flush is not a traditional syphon, but one with a spring-loaded plunger type affair.


After flushing the large washer on the flush mechanism doesn't seem to seal well against the cistern outlet, letting water trickle down the back of the pan.

In the past I have taken the mechanism out and cleaned any lime-scale off the sealing flange/ washer and then replaced it. It will work well for about 4 months then it will happen again.

Both toilets are effected and I fed up of being kept awake by the sound of a toilet refilling.

Sorry my question is:

how can I stop it from happening ( washer replacement? is it a faulty unit? adjustments I can make? ), or am I destined to pull my toilet apart every few months to fix it?

useally a new seal will sort it.
but some flush valves are cheaper than others and don't last long before playing up.

what valve have you got?
or a pic will do.

I think it's a pacific push button flush valve. I've looked on the lunns site and they don't show a replacement flash valve washer.

I'll have a google and see if I can find someone who does spares.

Is there a more 'reliable' make I could replace it for ( If I have to! as they are quite pricey)
