Water supply size

Hello all.
Can you tell me if there is a calculation to size the incoming water pipe for a property or do you work on the size of the demand.

No idea but 25 mm MDPE is pretty much standard for domestic properties.

Standard charts or sums will give the pressure drop for a given flow...
