Water tank in attic is empty

Hello,

I have just got in from work and there is no water flowing from any of the hot taps in the house. There is plenty of cold water flowing from the taps. I have been into the attic and the water feeder tank is empty. Any ideas what it could be ?

Unusual, but ball valve may have become blocked up, possibly with a bit of debris from the pipes.

Turn off the isolator tap supplying it, or the mains if there isn't one locally or in the airing cupboard, and dismantle in situ to inspect it.

Thanks for the replies.

The ball valve has got limescale all over it but I have managed to get it filling again. I think it might be a temporary fix only but we shall see.
