Cold Water Tank

I am converting my attic into a bedroom and currently have a huge cold water feeder tank which I would like to move/replace. It currently feeds a 120 litre hot water cylinder (with immersion heater). What is the smallest capacity feeder tank that I can use for this?

It depends on what else the tank is feeding. If I remember rightly you need a 230 litre to feed a cylinder and cold supply to bath.

If you change the cylinder to an unvented one you don't need the tank in the loft at all. Al you need is £££££££££££££.

I changed my boiler to a combi and got rid of the tank.

The hot water will only feed a shower and sink taps, so can I get away with a smaller tank than the 230 litre mentioned for a bath? Smaller the better as space is limited and the wife has lots of clothes to fit in the new room!

Combi boiler is a no-go as no gas supply. Could possibly install an electric shower and some type of direct heater for hot tap water. I believe you can buy inline electric heaters that take mains cold and output hot water. Anyone used these?

150 litre.......look for "coffin Tanks" dunno what their proper name is but they`re in *****fix ,or most plumbers merchants...special for small spaces

Would you get away with fitting a Fortic F3?

Very interested in the Fortic, as I assume this would enable me to get rid of the header tank altogether. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be much info on the net.

Anyone got one of these? Does the mains feed straight into the top tank? How come these combined units only need a 20 litre feeder tank, when the separate tank in my attic is 240 litres!?!!

Any info would be v welcome.
