I installed engineered wood flooring in the kitchen. Tongue n groove, not snap. Not all the way to the wall but just under the kickboards. I glued the pieces together with PVA and it sits on underlay. The laminate and underlay are not glued down.

Today, I noticed water coming through some of the joins. I recently found my dishwasher has a leak and I'm guessing water has been leaking under the laminate for some time.

I tried to get the laminate up but can't separate the pieces.

Only thing I can think of is to get a heater to try dry it out. Failing that, get the circular saw and cut a corner out.

Any advice or ideas how to separate the pieces?

Hack it all up and fling it in the bin. A spade is useful.

Is the subfloor concrete? If chipboard, fling that in the bin as well.

check with your household insurance but may be counterproductive iff you have a large excess or less than a few hundred for materials as the insurance will go up to cover

Yeah get it up an out. The concrete will need to dry out underneath which won’t till the floor is clear.
