Hi,
i've just moved into a new house (end terrace, built 1926). We knew the ground levels need reducing as the surveyor picked it up. The problem is there is a large drive down the side with alot of concrete slabs!
My question is, what is the best option,
1. Dig a ditch around the house half the width of the existing paving slabs and fill with shingle.
2. Can we simply leave the paving slabs where they are and paint a waterproof substance around the bottom of the house, this in theory would stop any splashback breaching the DPC?
All advice welcome.
