Hi Guys,
I am currently slowly renovating my bungalow and looking ahead to the bathroom.
I don't think I will be tackling the bathroom full on for another year or so but at the moment my electric shower is starting to play up so looking at possibly doing something temporarily.
Ideally I would like a power shower. My home is warm air gas heated with an electric immersion heater for the hot water. This hot water only goes to kitchen sink and bathroom sink.
The bathroom sink is in the same small room as the current shower location and I was wondering if it is possible to add a twin pump using the existing hot and cold water feed that was blanked off for an old bath.
Does the pump need to be near the immersion tank? Not sure if they need to push mostly and the pull would be too great due to distance from the immersion tank if I installed pump in bathroom.
Secondly getting power to the pump. Can I use the electric shower power that would be removed or the shaving outlet nearby for the pump? I understand this needs to be done by a certified electrician? Just wondered how big a job it would be and if I can save few pounds prepping most of it.
Thanks
