i have a back to the wall pan i am fitting to a vanity unit with enclosed cistern. All sorted until i went to drill into the tiles and fix to the floor and realised the tiles where warm and the heating pipes are directly under the screw points! Dont want to risk it.

There are two good fixings into the vanity unit which is fixed to the wall.

Would a silicone bed be sufficient under the WC? Any other ideas welcome.

One of those jobs that looked so simple but....... :(

Sit the toilet on silicone and then run a bead around the edge of the toilet and fix cistern to wall.

Job done!

... Depends who uses it and how much they "strain"

I always put screws in to secure the pan.
