WC install

I've taken our a wc from my downstairs bathroom, and it was put on top of tiles.

I've been advised when i put the new wc in to remove the ceramic tiles on the floor and connect the wc directly to the floor.

Is this really necessary ?
What complication are there if the wc is put on top of ceramic tiles.

None. Put the loo on the tiles and seal around it. tat way if you need a new loo you don't have to re-tile.
