Thank you for that link to a useful article which points out that one meaning of the Greek word which phobia comes from is "aversion", and clarifies that in a non-clinical context '----phobia' can mean irrational hatred, negative attitudes, mistrust, dislike, disapproval, prejudice, discrimination or hostility towards the object of the phobia.
