Hi all,
I had a new bathroom installed upstairs and bought a 9.5kw electric shower. The pressure is very weak - and after initial investigations on the web it doesnt look like theres much I can do about it. The old cistern is still up in the loft. If I placed the current plastic cistern on top of the old cistern - would the additional couple of foot give it enough drop to increase the pressure?
Thanks

I have the old pump which was being used on the water mains. I cant use that no? (Im 99% sure I cant).

Not as far as I am aware - your electric shower will need a minimum pressure of 1.5 bar to perform and I've no idea if your pump is suitable.
Best to hear what the others say!
John :)

The low pressure light hasnt come on the shower, and the plumber didnt say anything about the pressure being too low, so I presume theres just enough pressure for the shower to work adequately, but not 'effectively'.

Thanks for quick response Burnerman.

I think 1 metre of tank height above the shower head equals 0.1 bar (sure to be corrected if it isn't!) so unless your tanks are very high up, you won't get anywhere near the pressure you need.
There are electric showers that will work on gravity though but they are much more expensive.
John :)
