Hi. Thanks for reading.
I have an electric shower (Mira Sport 9.0, rated 40A) and the isolator plate got damaged when decorating so I put a new one on. The old was a 45A plate and the new one 50A.
Don't know if it's related but a couple of days later and the shower, which was never good at heating enough water to give a decent hot flow, has started running really hot and I've had to turn the temperature control right down. Anyone know why this would be? Thanks for your help!

Supply water is not so cold?
yes that's true. But it's pushing out more hot water than it did in other recent summers. (I'm not complaining, delighted to have a shower that performs! ). Just can't think what might've changed. It's in Edinburgh where there water supply is soft-ish so it's not a bad limescale build up in the pipes etc.

If you had the cover off the heater any chance you fixed a bad connexion for one of the elements? Other than a change of water pressure/flow I have no more ideas for now.
