We have a fused switch in the kitchen from which a cable runs to the top of the units. Attached to this there is a double socket. Plugged into these is a cooker hood and an outside light . This arrangement was put in over 15 yrs ago when the kitchen was done .. There has never been any problems with this until recently when I changed the 500w halogen for a 30w pir led . The problem being that when I switch the cooker hood light on then off again the outside light comes on???? Anyone any ideas ??? Thanks in advance ... Al.

Educated guesswork here but I suspect the electronic control in the new light is sensitive to the noise spike created by switching the cooker hood on or off.
If they are both on plug & socket connections, then it might be worth trying a simple plug in spike suppressor like this....
