Welcome to my kitchen!

are you using gloves or those little sucker things to fit the bulbs?

fingerprints mess up the lifespan of some bulbs..

I have been using kitchen towel wrapped around it. I understand that halogens don't like grease from fingers on the bulb as it creates a weak spot.

Is kitchen towel OK or should I try a latex glove instead?

I am now trying a company called GEC for this weeks bulb! I have 1 left once that goes I will be making a decision.

Of course I will be getting the Home Secretary's permission before I change the light over and my Mum's permission to stand on a chair to change the bulb. :D

it does seem as though steam is the culprit in this scenario as the blown bulb is mor or less over the sink, and if the bottle steriliser is used down that end as well then thats more steam..

try using coller water to wash the dishes.. or gat a dishwasher.. :)

no but seriously.. try getting fittings rated for the bathroom as these tend to be more steam resistant..
