Where im currently working there is the exact same model of welder. Ive just turned it to maximum and put a clip on ameter on the supply. Its 2 phase and takes 31 amps each phase. Hope this helps.

Not sure. Too fast to read and this particular clip on doesnt record max current.

i was wrong
It's a C63 (guess thats 63 amp).

Transformer oil is what you need. A decent welding supplier will be able to get it for you.

As for the single phase one (bantam), our one would just about run off a 13amp socket if you put a bolt in the plug as a fuse (obviously not ideal!).

That's outrageous.

A bit of 15A fusewire soldered in place of the 1362 is one thing, but not a bolt - that just isn't right.

It is called breaking every rule in the book!
A correctly installed ceeform plug and socket would be the professional way to do it.

Must be an expensive bolt - the fixing wiring is now the fuse protecting it :)
