I have a socket on a wall that gets a little damp. It's not terrible but nothing seems to stop it. Is there something I could seal the "hole" with so that the damp doesn't corrode the metal box ... again!
The hole is the socket cutout, about a foot from the floor, and the moisture is from condensation as we're in a converted barn and it's a three feet thick granite outside wall in a north facing corner There is nothing to be done about the damp and it isn't too bad on the surface: just requires a repaint every few years.
It's hard to photograph with all the crap in front of it!
