Have fitted new sink into new worktop. Went away for weekend and when I returned, some water had gotten in under the sink edges and soaked into the worktop and expanded it all on the corners. Siliconing the edges was to be my first job on my return - bit late now. Is there anything I can do about it?

No, top will need replacing.

You should have sealed all the cut edges before putting the sink into place, either wipe silicon on the cut edges or several coats of varnish.
