Anything interesting? DIY?

I'm taking up most of the kitchen floor after the washing machine leaked and ruined the solid wood flooring (a lesson learned - don't put wood flooring in a kitchen).

My extension went back over an old outside WC. So when building it, I used the existing drain for that to put a little drain in the floor using a bottle trap (from seeing the idea in Australia) .


I found that this stopped us having any leaks from the washing machine

I'm sitting in my bed, watching Premier League footie, nursing the worst sore throat in the history of the world, caused by what has been described by my 'family doctor' as a 'monster virus', while the wife is in work nursing her other patients.

All this while the rest of the 'neighborhood' enjoys watching their kids hunt 'colored' boiled eggs in their gardens before 'grilling out', with bright blue skies and temperatures set to reach 70°F.

Even though I couldn't eat one, there's not a single chocolate egg to be seen.

My only salvation at the moment is this site!!

Oh, the joys of my first Easter across the pond!!

Painting (then watching it dry - infinitely more interesting than football!) whilst my first wife is pressure-washing the path. Can't have the postie slipping and claiming compo from us!

Certainly wouldn't join the sheeple in their traffic jams. That's one good thing about being retired: I can go where I want when I want!
