glad you said, we have just bought a new one today, silentnight knightly 3000. hopefully it will be on as choosing the right mattress was a nightmare
Last one we bought must have been over 15 years ago. 3870 springs. Weighs a ton and I nearly give myself a hernia turning the b'stard! Must be due for a change anytime soon.

They say every 8 years, we havent had a replacement in 10 years so we thought we had best as it was a cheap one years ago. We boght a new bed and mattress which has cost £2300.00 this better last at least 20 years
Reminds me of some comments associated with the news some years ago, that (John Lewis?) were flogging a mattress for £22k.
"The first layer is a finest merino wool mat, sown by artisans.
Next is a bed of two thousand individually hand - polished stainless steel coils, lovingly stitched together with the flax of South Island plants.

And, topped with a gullible bell end who's paid £22k for a mattress. "
