What company is this logo?

I am trying to identify an old tap - it has a logo and number etched into the back...
I vaguely recognise the logo - sure it is well known...

It looks like a capital A merged with an S.

I think it would be almost impossible to take a picture of it on the tap (flash reflection etc) but I could maybe try and draw it...

Thought it might be armitage shanks - but their logo seem to be the script...

Now you all think I'm stupid....
but I couldn't find it on their website and it would be even worse if I sent AS an image of a tap to identify that was made by someone else!

I did try honest - look at wikipedia for armitage shanks logo and the AS bit isn't there....and like I said not on their web page...
