What could be the cause of this leak?

My bedroom has sprung a leak in the heavy rain, there was damp there for a while but now its dripping inside and driving me nuts. I took a picture of the outside of the house and the path the water is taking so hopefully someone might know!

In the picture you can see some water running down the front of the house(overflowing gutters maybe?). The leak is where the left hand trail on water is, only on the inside.

Is it a case of sort the gutters and seal it somehow?

I'm sure you aren't too far off, but we need to see if there's any foliage in the gutter and the conditions of the tiles / valleys above.....can you oblige?

OP, is this a two story bay situation?
Whatever, a ladder with a standoff might be needed to gain access for a view & some photos - standoff ladders in turn must have someone footing the ladder.
Maybe its safer to get a roofer to come out and have a look and do some photos for you?

Why not get up into the loft and examine that area

Yeah, got a friend going up to take the photos, ladders aren't my thing

I've been in the loft, it all seems bone dry in there, I cant see the slates because there is felt behind them.
