What do I need to break up concrete this thick?

Ok we got this far and my back's killing me (just a bit more to go close to the house). Now my question is as you can see the previous concrete was laid on hardcore which is still there (apart from a few places where we dug it up) and I'm wondering if that would be suitable to lay the new concrete on. Or should I dig it all up back to bare earth and replace with new hardcore. Also is hardcore the material to use for concrete that will have paving slabs laid on it? All the videos I've looked at are using specialist material. Thanks. I appreciate all your help.

I'd like to stick my cheapo Titan breaker at that just to see, as it makes light work of 8" deep footings...

It is an alternative if you've got other jobs to do in the future, but don't get me wrong, it isn't a patch on those hydraulic breakers you'd hire, but mine soon paid for itself. Just a thought.
