Hi,
I'm a bit of a newbie at all this. I borrowed my dads drill which was a bosch 500 watt hammer drill and tried drilling a hole in the concrete lintel for a curtain pole. I just about got through it but it barely barely moved and I had to really force it. Basically I f*cked up the hole. It hit the lintel and moved, so I have a kinda double wonky hole. I then did it again just to make sure! lol. Ahh man, it must be easier than this!!
It's definately concrete though. I can see where a load of plaster fell out of an old hole.
I was looking at the following as I heard Makita and Dewalt were good makes. Can anyone tell me if these are good enough and if one would be better over the other? I don't wanna land up buying a sh*t drill and then have to fork out again. Also, is it worth paying a little bit more to get one that does chiselling?
