I’m having a new door fitted to the rear of my garage. Not sure what wood it will be but probably engineered wood. I was considering staining it to match the exiting mahogany coloured surrounding frame and window
But I thought it was probably painted originally. Also stain is not ideal for engineered wood or so I’m told. Also I imagine there would be many many applications to get close to the surrounding colour. The door is under a deep soffit and reasonably sheltered from the weather but it does get rain of course
Then I thought that a good external paint would do with primer and undercoat ?
But which one ? Any advice appreciated please
